Planst du, es zu besuchen? Es ist ein Fischerdorf mit einem Hafen voller Boote, das sich im Laufe der Jahre zu <strong>einem der beliebtesten Reiseziele an der Costa Brava<\/strong> entwickelt hat.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Und ja, trotz seiner Beliebtheit ist es immer noch ein ruhiger und angenehmer Ort zum Leben und Besuchen. Es liegt in der Gemeinde Torroella de Montgr\u00ed, in der Region Baix Empord\u00e0, Provinz Girona, und ist das Tor zu einem wundersch\u00f6nen K\u00fcstenabschnitt.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Und die Landschaft beherrschend, auf einem Berg, der von fast jedem Punkt des Dorfes aus sichtbar ist, befindet sich eine <strong>Steinfestung mit \u00fcber 700 Jahren Geschichte: das Castell de Montgr\u00ed<\/strong>. Macht dich das neugierig?<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wo genau liegt das Castell de Montgr\u00ed?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Es liegt auf 315 Metern H\u00f6he, etwas mehr als sechs Kilometer Luftlinie vom Meer entfernt, und <strong>ist Teil des Naturparks Mass\u00eds del Montgr\u00ed, les Illes Medes i el Baix Ter<\/strong>, einem Schutzgebiet, das sowohl den Berg als auch die Inseln umfasst, die du sehen wirst, wenn du seinen Gipfel erklimmst.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n<iframe src=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/embed?pb=!1m18!1m12!1m3!1d22966.652403777185!2d3.1295068418790972!3d42.049138137914206!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i1024!2i768!4f13.1!3m3!1m2!1s0x12ba583693200ee7%3A0x396f964daa5e7b85!2sCastillo%20del%20Montgr%C3%AD!5e0!3m2!1ses!2ses!4v1789978787813!5m2!1ses!2ses\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" style=\"border:0;\" allowfullscreen=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\"><\/iframe>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Geschichte und Ursprung des Castell de Montgr\u00ed<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Geschichte des Schlosses beginnt, wie so viele andere, im Mittelalter.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">K\u00f6nig Jaume II. \u2013 einer der Monarchen der Krone von Arag\u00f3n \u2013 war mit Pon\u00e7 V., dem Grafen von Emp\u00faries, einem Adligen, der einen Gro\u00dfteil dieser Gegend des Empord\u00e0 regierte und mit dem Jaume II. seine H\u00f6hen und Tiefen hatte, zerstritten.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Um das Gebiet im Falle einer m\u00f6glichen Konfrontation zu kontrollieren, beauftragte der K\u00f6nig 1294 Bernat de Llabi\u00e0, den Gouverneur von Torroella, mit dem Bau einer Festung auf dem h\u00f6chsten Punkt des Montgr\u00ed<\/strong>. Die Arbeiten schritten zwischen 1294 und 1301 voran, doch bevor sie abgeschlossen waren, wurde der Konflikt mit dem Grafen auf diplomatischem Wege gel\u00f6st. Und da das Schloss nicht mehr ben\u00f6tigt wurde, wurden die Arbeiten eingestellt. <strong>Es hatte nie ein Dach und wurde nie ganz fertiggestellt, und doch \u00fcberlebt es<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/homesincostabrava.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Castell-de-Montgri-1024x768.webp\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9294\" srcset=\"https:\/\/homesincostabrava.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Castell-de-Montgri-1024x768.webp 1024w, https:\/\/homesincostabrava.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Castell-de-Montgri-300x225.webp 300w, https:\/\/homesincostabrava.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Castell-de-Montgri-768x576.webp 768w, https:\/\/homesincostabrava.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/09\/Castell-de-Montgri.webp 1360w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Architektur des Schlosses<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Obwohl es unvollendet ist, bewahrt das Schloss Elemente, die es dir erm\u00f6glichen, dir perfekt vorzustellen, wie es einmal aussehen sollte. <strong>Es hat eine quadratische Form, mit einem runden Turm an jeder seiner vier Ecken und Mauern mit Zinnen<\/strong> \u2013 diesen gezackten Abschl\u00fcssen, die typisch f\u00fcr mittelalterliche Festungen sind \u2013 von 13 Metern H\u00f6he und 31 Metern L\u00e4nge.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Diese Mauern mit integrierten zylindrischen T\u00fcrmen an den Ecken entsprechen einem Festungsmodell <strong>orientalischer Inspiration<\/strong>, das nach den Kreuzz\u00fcgen in Europa in Mode kam, als die Ritter, die aus dem Heiligen Land zur\u00fcckkehrten, diese Verteidigungsformen mitbrachten.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Und achte auf das Innere, denn es ist auch eine Zisterne erhalten, das hei\u00dft ein gro\u00dfer, von einem halbkreisf\u00f6rmigen Gew\u00f6lbe bedeckter Speicher. Dieser diente dazu, Regenwasser zu sammeln und zu speichern, um es sp\u00e4ter nutzen zu k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ein weiteres kurioses Detail! <strong>Der Stein, mit dem das Castell de Montgr\u00ed gebaut wurde, stammt aus dem Berg selbst. Wenn du durch die Gegend wanderst, kannst du die \u00dcberreste der Steinbr\u00fcche sehen.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wie man zum Castell de Montgr\u00ed hinaufsteigt<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die gebr\u00e4uchlichste Route beginnt in Torroella de Montgr\u00ed, dem Nachbardorf von L&#8217;Estartit, und betr\u00e4gt etwa f\u00fcnf Kilometer und dauert etwa zwei Stunden hin und zur\u00fcck.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Der Weg ist Teil des GR-92, eines der Fernwanderwege, die ganz Katalonien entlang der K\u00fcste durchqueren. Er ist vollst\u00e4ndig mit roten und wei\u00dfen Markierungen ausgeschildert.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Der Aufstieg ist sanft, ohne schwierige Abschnitte, und nach etwa 30 Minuten kommst du an der Creu de Santa Caterina vorbei, einem guten Punkt f\u00fcr eine erste Pause.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Und wenn du in L&#8217;Estartit \u00fcbernachtest und lieber von dort aus starten m\u00f6chtest, kannst du das auch tun. Von hier aus hast du eine der <strong>besten Panoramen der gesamten Costa Brava<\/strong>.
